Marscher is named in honor of my Grandma, Margaret Scherer.

Misty, owned by my Grandmother, started it all. Because of her daughter Marscher Fancy Feathers bred by my family (https://k9-data.org/dog/detail/2015), Misty is behind the lines of many show and performance Goldens today, including our four current dogs: Kody, Tahani, Orion, and Nalu. The main source for all of these different lines- chart coming soon- is centered on Am. CH Libra Lady Carioca (several generations from Marscher Fancy Feathers).

***Mike was an Amateur Field Trial Champion ( and just ONE first place shy of FC- had a string of seconds in his final year competing) as well as Field Dog Hall of Fame, inducted in 1965 *** Mike is also behind our current dogs Kody and Nalu.

Another golden bred by Marscher (AFC Bonnie Brooks Mike FDHF x Kinike Mystique ***)- Shane (https://k9-data.org/dog/detail/720852)- Marscher’s McShane **– won the 1977 Derby at the Golden Retriever National. Shane’s owners were not members of the Golden Retriever Club of America, so she was ineligible to have her name on the perpetual trophy! Such a huge disappointment for all. Moral of the story: Check and Double Check your paperwork!
