Our Historical Goldens

Marscher is named in honor of my Grandma, Margaret Scherer.

Circa early 1980’s in Illinois

Misty started it all. Because of her daughter Marscher Fancy Feathers (http://k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=2015), Misty is behind the lines of many show and performance Goldens today, including three out of four of our current dogs: Kody, Tahani, and Nalu.

Another golden bred by Marscher- Shane (http://k9data.com/pedigree.asp?ID=720852)- Marscher’s McShane **– won the 1977 Derby at the Golden Retriever National. Shane’s owners were not members of the Golden Retriever Club of America, so she was ineligible to have her name on the perpetual trophy! Such a huge disappointment for all. Moral of the story: Check and Double Check your paperwork!
